THE GENETICIST

I wish I would've gotten pictures at the beginning of the day when we were excited and ready to get answers instead of the end of the day when we were tired and more frustrated than ever.  I realize now that I had my hopes set way to high for this day.  I was hoping that we would leave the appointment with some possibilities of what's going on with Tessa.  It was a 3.5 hour drive to the geneticist office and the whole way there Trevor and I were talking about how we would cope with the news.  Doctor appointments are really hard for me.  It brings all of the sadness that I'm trying to move past back to the surface.  We were really hoping for some kind of answer.  Anything really, good or bad.  We just want to get things figured out so we can move forward.  Basically the doctor is going to try to link her eye problems with the results from her MRI.  He's also going to verify that she has Ocular Albinism.  We will get the results in 2 months.

I have learned so much in the past 9 months that I am so grateful for.  I've been so humbled.  I have such a strong love for people with special needs.  I don't even know how to explain it.  I guess I just realize how much patience and devastating heartache the parents had while trying to do the best they can for their child.  It's helped me realize how incredibly special and sweet these children of God are.  I'm so nervous for the life that's to come for Tessa, but I know as long as Trevor and I stay close to the Lord everything will be ok.  I say this all the time, but I am so grateful to be Tessa's mom.  I feel blessed and so honored that Heavenly Father trusts me to teach, love and care for this special little girl.

TREVOR'S WORK BENCH

Trevor finished his first project.  It turned out pretty good, huh?

FUN NIGHT WITH THE ANDERSON'S

We had the Anderson's over for dinner, a movie and a bath!  Tessa and Eden love baths but they were a little bit unsure about taking one together.  I love the picture of their bare bottoms!  Eden's bum is the softest, chubbiest bum I have ever seen!  It's so much fun watching them grow together.  I can't wait until they're little girlfriends, running around together!  They will be such cute little friends!

Morgiana and I made Baked S'mores for dessert.  Do you like the top?  Precious.  They were to die for!  So delicious!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Savannah went to her first Valentine's Day party!  It was so much fun!  She made a Valentine card for Daddy and a cute Valentine necklace.  Holiday's are so much more fun with kids!  The first picture was taken at home so of course she is holding Doggy.  All of the other pictures were taken at her friends house.  Notice how she has a helicopter or airplane in her hand in every other picture.  She is definitely her Daddy's girl!

TREVOR THE BUILDER

Trevor is not particularly fond of Alabama. A Taylor without mountains or beach is no bueno. He has an awesome job that only requires him to work about 6 hours a day so he has a lot of free time. If we were by the mountains he would love it, but out here he doesn't know what to do with all of the spare time he has. He's been kinda frustrated the last few months because he feels like there's not a lot for him to do here. I keep telling him he needs a hobby. I tried to turn him into a runner but that didn't really work. Ha! Last night he went to Lowe's and bought a ton of stuff. He couldn't wait to get into the garage and start building this morning. I can't wait to see the finished products!

BAD DOGGY!

I went into Savannah's room to get her up from her nap and saw a huge chunk of her wall missing. I asked her what happened and she said Doggy ate it. I asked her what she meant and then she proceeded to show me. Oh my!

THERAPY FOR TESSA

Yesterday Tessa had therapy with Miss Susie. She has low muscle tone in her lower back, abdomen and hips. She screamed through her whole hour of therapy. I felt so bad for her. Miss Susie said it's so important that I stretch those muscles and keep them moving, so Tessa and I had our own little therapy session while Savannah was down for her nap. She did a lot better with me. I think she was a little freaked out by somebody she doesn't know stretching her in uncomfortable ways and making her use muscles she doesn't usually use. This is one of the things Miss Susie wants her to do. Kneel on the cushion to strengthen her muscles. Tessa learned today to scoot to get to a toy. Not army crawl, scoot. It's so cute!!

SAVANNAH AND CINDY

Cindy and Savannah had so much fun today! It was pretty warm outside so the girls played in the backyard in the hose. Savannah is super girlie and is not ok with getting dirty. She freaks out if she gets even a piece of grass stuck on her. Cindy loves to play in the mud. It was so much fun watching their little opposite personalities playing outside. They were so cute. Cindy was such a good friend to help Savannah keep herself and zebra clean!
